Goalgi is a nonprofit helping to fund medical research through crowd-funding campaigns.
I had the pleasure of working with Goalgi through the Design Corps program at Pratt Institute. Similar to Kickstarter, Goalgi is a nonprofit helping to fund medical research through crowd-funding campaigns.
The name "Goalgi" comes from the golgi apparatus, or "post office for the soul" as it's often called. This organelle brings proteins in, modifies them for their specific function, and transports them to their proper location. This idea is combined with the word "goal" to represent the monetary goals for each campaign, and the funds that take the same course as the golgi apparatus by being taken in and transported to their respective medical research initiatives. The mark represents the intricate connections between donor, researcher, and patient as Goalgi's platform transports funds to aid specific research of your choice.
I collaborated with Pawan Maneepairoj in the development of their website which will be live soon.
